——Routine maintenance strategies for Sany excavators
1. Routine Maintenance:
- Inspect, clean, or replace the air filter;
- Clean the internal cooling system;
- Inspect and tighten the track shoe bolts;
- Inspect and adjust track tension;
- Inspect the excavator’s intake air heater;
- Inspect the bucket teeth wear;
- Adjust the excavator’s bucket clearance;
- Check the windshield washer fluid level;
- Inspect and adjust the excavator’s air conditioning;
- Replace the breaker filter (for optional parts, please contact Jessica);
- Special Note: When cleaning the internal cooling system, wait until the engine has fully cooled down before slowly loosening the radiator cap to release the pressure inside the radiator before draining the water;
- Do not perform cleaning while the engine is running, as the high-speed rotating fan can cause danger;
- When cleaning or changing the coolant, the machine should be parked on level ground.
2. Excavator after 250 hours of operation:
- Replace the fuel filter and auxiliary fuel filter;
- Inspect the excavator engine valve clearance.
- Check the oil level in the excavator’s final drive housing (add gear oil);
- Check the battery electrolyte;
- Change the oil in the engine oil pan and replace the engine filter;
- Lubricate the slewing bearings (2 locations);
- Check the fan belt tension and the air conditioning compressor belt tension, and adjust accordingly.
3. Pre-start engine checks:
- Check the excavator’s coolant level (add water);
- Check the excavator’s engine oil level and add oil;
- Check the excavator’s fuel level (add fuel);
- Check the hydraulic fluid level (add hydraulic fluid);
- Check for clogged air filter;
- Check the wiring;
- Check the horn for proper function;
- Check the bucket lubrication;
- Check the water and sediment in the oil-water separator.
4. Maintenance Items Every 500 Hours:
- Replace the excavator’s fuel filter;
- Check the grease level in the slewing pinion (add grease);
- Inspect and clean the excavator’s radiator fins, oil cooler fins, and condenser fins;
- Replace the hydraulic oil filter;
- Replace the oil in the final drive housing (only for the first 500 hours, then every 1000 hours);
- Clean the air filters inside and outside the excavator’s air conditioning system;
- Replace the hydraulic oil vent filter.
5. Maintenance Every 1000 Hours:
- Replace the oil in the excavator’s slewing mechanism housing;
- Check the oil level in the shock absorber housing (return engine oil);
- Inspect all fasteners on the turbocharger;
- Inspect the turbocharger rotor clearance;
- Inspect and replace the generator belt tension;
- Replace the corrosion-resistant filter;
- Replace the oil in the final drive housing.
